K. J. Thulborn Contractors & Engineers Limited maintain a very proactive approach to working together with other organisations to provide mutual benefits.

We are actively involved with industry leading manufacturers to constantly evolve and improve their ranges of equipment. Collaborative design work has been carried out to improve cutting efficiency, reliability and operator safety.

Partnerships that have been of benefit to the community and general public include a comprehensive scheme in association with Amey Mouchel, Parsons Brinckerhoff and the Highways Agency where used tree shelters from road schemes have been reclaimed and used by the Woodland Trust.

Recycling

Our policy is to reduce waste as much as practicable and where possible utilise by-products from our works. One such example is mulching where we use woodchip to control weed growth reducing the frequency of chemical use.

We provide this service to all our customers, and in addition supply mulch to other external users, for example Longleat Safari Park and The Eden Project.

We optimise our transport requirements in all operations of our business and use the minimal number of vehicles required which in turn reduces environmental pollution and company operational costs.
 

Costs

We aim to have full involvement with a project from the conception phase, which in turn means that we are able to provide a pricing structure that guarantees the entire work is carried out to the specified customer standard (or higher) within the time allocated.
 

Communication

In consideration of any project, K. J. Thulborn Contractors & Engineers Limited promote regular communication with customers and liaison with all parties potentially affected, including the public where appropriate. This philosophy has worked well previously to gain public support and the satisfaction of affected parties prior to work commencing.

In addition, we recognise the secure nature of certain contracts and have implemented the appropriate systems required for non-disclosure of information within our business management process.
